Toy Cleaning & Safety

We take great care to ensure every toy is clean, safe, and ready for its next home. Our process is designed to be thorough while respecting the natural materials of the toys.

Our Process

Each toy goes through a careful, multi-step process before it is included in a subscription box:

  • Inspection
Every toy is checked for condition, safety, and completeness. Items that do not meet our standards are retired from circulation.
  • Gentle Cleaning
    Toys are hand-cleaned using fragrance-free, child-safe products.
Wooden toys are typically spot-cleaned or gently wiped to preserve their natural finish.
  • Drying
All toys are fully air-dried before moving to the next step.
  • Sanitizing
Toys are sanitized using chemical-free UV technology as an additional layer of care.
  • Final Check & Packing
Each toy is reviewed again before being carefully packed for its next family.

Why Gentle Cleaning Matters

Many of the toys we carry are made from wood and finished with water-based paints. Using harsh chemicals or excessive moisture can damage their finish.

Our approach focuses on keeping toys clean, safe, and well-preserved—so they remain beautiful and enjoyable for every family.

Cleaning Products

We use non-toxic, fragrance-free, child-safe cleaning solutions appropriate for toys and children’s products.

When needed, we may use:

  • mild soap and water
  • diluted vinegar for targeted cleaning

We may use additional child-safe methods when needed to gently restore and maintain toys. We avoid harsh disinfectants that may damage materials or leave strong residues.

Common Questions

Are toys safe for younger children?
Our toy rotation club is designed for children ages 3 and up who have largely moved beyond the mouthing stage.

Is UV sanitizing enough?
UV sanitizing is used as an additional step after cleaning. It does not replace cleaning—it enhances it.

What happens if a toy is worn or damaged?
Any toy that does not meet our quality or safety standards is retired from circulation.
