Terms of service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Woodenland Toys’ subscription services, retail offerings, website, and related services. By purchasing a subscription or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
Woodenland Toys reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
1. General Use
By accessing our website or purchasing our products or services, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old, or
- You are using our services under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website.
2. Retail Purchases
Retail items are sold in-store only unless otherwise stated.
- Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase
- Items must be unused and in original condition
- Returns are in-store only
- Proof of purchase is required
Clearance items, gift cards, and special orders are final sale. Please refer to our Refund Policy for full details.
3. Toy Subscription Services
Woodenland Toys provides a curated toy rotation subscription service designed for in-home use. Subscribers receive a crate of toys that may be exchanged periodically according to their subscription plan.
Subscriptions renew automatically on a recurring monthly basis until canceled.
By subscribing, you authorize Woodenland Toys to charge the payment method on file for each renewal period.
Toy Circulation Model
Woodenland Toys operates a shared toy circulation system. Toys may be rotated between families over time.
Subscribers may choose between:
Rotated
Toys that have previously circulated within the Woodenland community and have been professionally cleaned and inspected.
First Play
Toys that are brand new and used by the subscriber’s household first before entering the circulation system.
Woodenland Toys does not guarantee that specific toys, brands, or items will be included in any crate.
Pickup & Exchanges
Subscription crates are provided via in-store pickup.
Subscribers may exchange toys according to their subscription plan after their billing cycle renews.
Exchanges require advance scheduling. Woodenland Toys reserves the right to limit exchange availability based on operational capacity.
Failure to return toys may result in replacement fees.
Care of Toys
Subscribers agree to use Woodenland toys responsibly and only for normal indoor household play.
Because many Woodenland toys are crafted from natural wood and delicate components, they should be kept away from conditions that may damage them, including but not limited to water, sand, excessive moisture, outdoor exposure, fire, or extreme heat.
By using the Woodenland service, subscribers acknowledge and agree that:
- Woodenland toys are intended for children ages 3 and older
- Toys must be used under appropriate adult supervision
- Toys should remain indoors and protected from damaging environments
Normal signs of play are expected and welcomed. However, if a toy is lost, severely damaged, water-damaged, burned, broken, or otherwise returned in a condition that prevents it from safely circulating to another family, Woodenland Toys reserves the right to charge a reasonable replacement fee.
Woodenland Toys will determine whether an item can safely remain in circulation at its sole discretion.
Missing Parts
Some toys include multiple pieces, and small parts may occasionally become separated during play.
If you discover a missing piece after returning a crate, simply place it in the kraft return bag provided and return it during your next swap.
However, Woodenland Toys may charge a replacement fee if the toy is return without essential components and can no longer be safely or reasonably rotated.
Our goal is not to penalize normal play, but to ensure that each crate remains complete, safe, and joyful for the next family.
Hygiene & Cleaning
All toys are cleaned and inspected between rotations using child-safe methods. However, Woodenland Toys does not guarantee that toys are free from all allergens, microbes, or environmental exposure.
By using the service, subscribers acknowledge that shared toys carry inherent risks similar to toys used in schools, libraries, or play spaces.
Safety Disclaimer
Subscribers acknowledge and accept responsibility for supervising children and for safe use of all toys while in their care.
Woodenland Toys is not liable for injuries resulting from misuse, improper supervision, or use outside recommended age ranges.
Toys should not be used by children under three years old.
Subscription Cancellation
Subscriptions may be canceled at any time prior to the next billing cycle.
If cancellation occurs after renewal, the subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
Refunds are not provided for active subscription cycles once billing has occurred.
Toy Club memberships are subject to additional terms outlined in the Woodenland Toy Club Member Agreement & Safety Policy, including return requirements and replacement charges for unreturned items.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Woodenland Toys shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of its products or services.
Woodenland Toys’ total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the subscriber for the most recent billing cycle.
Right to Refuse Service
Woodenland Toys reserves the right to suspend or terminate subscriptions at its discretion if a subscriber violates these Terms or repeatedly fails to return toys in acceptable condition.
Intellectual Property
All content on the Woodenland Toys website, including images, branding, text, and design, is the property of Woodenland Toys and may not be reproduced without permission.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington.
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the appropriate courts located within Washington State.
