Our Story: From Tech to Toys

Hi, I’m the founder of Woodenland Toys, and like many of you, I wear many hats - but my favorite one is "Mom."

Before starting Woodenland, I spent nearly three years working at Meta. It was an incredible experience. But as my two children grew, my perspective on consumption began to shift. I noticed how quickly toys came and went. One month they were deeply loved; the next, they were forgotten.

I found myself constantly stuck in the "Toy Retirement" loop:

  • Do I spend my weekends haggling on FB Marketplace to sell them?
  • Do I store them in bins, hoping they’ll be used again?
  • Do I dump them? (Which felt far too wasteful for our planet).

I believed there had to be a better way. 

I’ve always loved wooden toys - they’re safer for our kids, gentler on the planet, and beautifully made. But investing in new, high-quality sets every month simply isn’t realistic for most families.

Woodenland Toys was built to solve that exact dilemma.

Care & Responsibility

Safety is our non-negotiable.

Every toy that returns to Woodenland goes through a multi-step inspection, cleaning, and sanitization process before reaching another family. Because we are local, we personally oversee each rotation with care and accountability.
